By: M.S.Yatnatti: Editor and Video Journalist Bengaluru: The Director, Directorate of Technical Education, Bengaluru is requested  to Issue of Original Marks Cards for Diploma Students , I am writing to bring to your attention a pressing issue affecting numerous diploma students who have pursued higher education in B Tech engineering courses. Unfortunately, these students have not received their original marks cards for all six semesters from the examination authority. This omission has created a significant hurdle for the students, as they are unable to avail education loans without the original marks cards. This is adversely impacting their academic pursuits and future prospects.I humbly request you to intervene in this matter and issue necessary instructions to the examination authority to release the original marks cards for all six semesters to the affected students. This will greatly facilitate the students in securing education loans and pursuing their engineering courses without further hindrance. Duty of Exam Section:1) Conducting examination for all the Polytechnics of the state. 2) Issuing Diploma certificates, marks cards etc 3) Introducing coding and de-coding system for evaluation to maintain confidentiality.  4) On-line monitering theory and practical examination process through BTELinx.5) Preparation and sending of candidate list and mark list for Diploma eligible students of all affiliated Polytechnics.6) According affiliation to polytechnics in the state. 7) Deputing staff for the examination duty.8) Decentralization of Evaluation Process. 9) Issue of migration certificate and eligibility certificates and other certificates through “Sakala Progarmme”. 10) Printing of question papers & answer booklets for all Polytechnics.  The technical skilled educational institutions were started in 1943, by the name "Occupational Institutes". Later, these are renamed as "Polytechnics"(multiple technical skills/many technical skills). All these Polytechnics were working under "Public Instruction Department". As the number of Polytechnics and Technical degree colleges were increased, the new department called "Department of Technical Education " came into existance in 1959.The Commissionerate of Technical Education ensures a planned development of technical education in the state consistent with the policies of State and the Nation. The department is committed to provide need based, quality technical education and professional human resources to the industry, business and community. The Department manages 85 government, 44 aided and 170 private polytechnics, 14 govt Engineering Colleges and 6 Junior Technical Schools.  The Department of Technical Education is the highest policy making body in the field of Technical Education in Karnataka. Its primary function is planning of developing Technical Education in the state and the Board of Technical Examination is responsible to conduct Diploma/Post diploma /Tailoring examination and award Diploma/Post Diploma/certificate to the eligible candidates.

The one of the affected student is from vishwakarma community .The government of Karnataka has appointed chairman of Karnataka Vishwakarma Communities Development Corporation Ltd, who is not helping affected diploma students .Hence it is better to remove the present chairman as community is allegedly demanding and appoint Sri B K Shankar as new chairman .Sri Mallikarjun Kharge President AICC, 24, Akbar Road, New Delhi 110 011, INDIA Sri K C Venugopal  AICC General Secretary , Sri Surjewala AICC General Secretary , Sri. Rahul Gandhi Ji  ex President AICC 10, Janpath New Delhi: 110011,  Smt. Sonia Gandhi Ji  ex President AICC 10, Janpath New Delhi: 110011 ,Smt Priyanka Gandhi JI AICC General Secretary , Sri Siddaramaiah  Honble chief Minister Karnataka , Sri DK Shivakumar President KPCC are requested to appoint loyal dynamic congress leader and face of  of Vishwakarma community in Karnataka Shankar BK as chairman of Vishwakarma Development Corporation with cabinet rank . His complete present profile with recommendations from present cabinet minister’s KPCC leaders and Community leaders with photo profile is submitted to KPCC and AICC Leaders’. Request is made to provide Shankar BK an opportunity of becoming chairman of “Karnataka Vishwakarma development corporation ” under the leadership of Smt Sonia Gandhi Sri Rahul Gandhi ji Smt Priyanka Ganhi ji Sri Mallikarjun Kharge ji  Sri Surjewalaji Sri Venugopalji Sri Siddaramaih CM and Sri DK Shivakumar DCM and president KPCC President ,It's been over 20 months since the post of chairman at the Vishwakarma Development Corporation has been vacant, despite Chief Minister Siddaramaiah's recommendation. The CM had recommended Sri Shankar B.K, a loyal Congress worker and face of the Vishwakarma community in Karnataka, for the post back in 2017, and recently File number E CM /8304110/24 Dated 06/08/2024 but the orders have yet to be issued by the CM secretariat. This delay has raised concerns, especially since Siddaramaiah has been actively courting the Vishwakarma community, which comprises goldsmiths, blacksmiths, bronze artisans, carpenters, and stone masons. The community has been relatively obscure on the state's political map until recently, but Siddaramaiah has recognized its potential as a potent political force .In fact, sources suggest that Siddaramaiah's efforts to woo the Vishwakarma community are part of a larger strategy to consolidate Ahinda votes. The CM's yet-to-be-revealed caste census reportedly pegs the Vishwakarma population in the state at around 20 lakh, a significant number that could impact the electoral landscape. AICC general secretary K C Venugopal has been tasked with strategizing and motivating the party's rank and file in election-bound states. Perhaps he should also look into this delay and ensure that the post of chairman at the Vishwakarma Development Corporation is filled without further delay. The Vishwakarma Development Corporation, specifically the Karnataka Vishwakarma Communities Development Corporation Ltd, is a state government company registered under the Companies Act as a company limited by shares ¹.Key Details:- Incorporation Date: February 28, 2014  Registered Address: 4th Floor, Devaraj Urs Bhavan, 16/D, Miller Tank Bed Area, Vasanthanagar, Bangalore.- Email: dvishwakarma2015@gmail.com Authorized Share Capital: Rs. 5,00,00,000 - Paid-up Capital: Rs. 1,00,000 The corporation aims to promote the development of the Vishwakarma community in Karnataka.
